Hop-Tu-Naa and Half Term
Saturday, October 24, 2009 Hop-Tu-Naa has been celebrated on the Island for many years with turnips being used to create fantastical, wintery lanterns. Unfortunately, over the years American Trick or Treat traditions and pumpkin lanterns have become more dominant - in an attempt to help to redress the balance we have embraced the turnip as our decorative motif this season.
