Around the World Craft

During the summer our Globetrotters created lots of wonderful objects and pieces of writing about the countries they were 'visiting'. We have put everything together and the display fills one side of the library

Thanks to all our members and parents for making this scheme such a success this year - hope to see you all during our new adventure next summer!

Carnival!

What a fantastic opener to our end of reading scheme carnival! Samba Mann brought the rhythm and spirit of Brazil to the gloomy and rainy street outside the library...and the sun started to shine

Thank you for filling the library energy and warmth, Samba Mann

The library was packed with some of the children and parents who took part the reading scheme. Here are just a few images...more to follow

More work

Our Globetrotters are producing incredible amounts of work to show us and earn lots of extra points for our game

We've been given reports about countries, culture and animals; African shields, drums and jewellery; Japanese lanterns; Italian masks and lots of other 'artifacts' made from cardboard, paper and paint and with a lot of incredible ingenuity and creativity

In the pictures below you can see some of the work and also see how the Moroccan display has been transformed by all the decorative Khamsa's the Globetrotters have made

Thank you Globetrotters
